We spent Mother’s Day strolling through the Toronto Artisan Market and it was delightful to feel the city in this energy.
People, puppies, babies, sports cars..

😮 Barely any road closures and no home games - downtown will be noticeably less crowded than the last few weekends. Easier parking, smaller crowds at restaurants, faster transit. Take advantage.
🚇 TTC running on holiday schedule Monday: Routes start later than usual on Victoria Day, similar to a Sunday schedule. If you're heading out early Monday morning, check times before you leave the house. Banks, LCBOs, and most government offices are closed Monday.
🚧 Ongoing - Lake Shore Boulevard westbound: One westbound lane closed on Lake Shore between Yonge Street and Raptors Way, weekdays through May 30. Lighter weekend impact but still worth knowing.
🌧️ Friday: Around 19°C with a 25% chance of rain - best day of the long weekend.
🌥️ Saturday: Around 17°C, 35% chance of rain. Have a layer ready.

Toronto's Own Fashion Week takes over the historic Church of the Holy Trinity all weekend long - three days of runway shows from visionary designers beneath Gothic vaulted ceilings and stained glass. One of the most distinctive fashion events the city does all year. Single day tickets still available.
Saturday, May 16
STACKT Market hosts Backyard: Asian Night Market all weekend - vendors, eats, and the kind of evening energy that makes you stay way longer than planned. Free to attend, easy to make a night of it.
The NHRA Victoria Day Weekend Spectacular takes over Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga - three days of drag racing, jet cars, and pure horsepower. Worth the drive for anyone into cars going fast in a straight line.
The Waterfront BIA's Festival of Flavours runs Saturday through Monday on Queens Quay - local restaurants, live entertainment, and three days of eating your way through Toronto's waterfront.
The Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest takes over Canadian Tire Motorsport Park all weekend - worth the drive to hear some serious muscle - we'll be out on Saturday watching our friends race, come say hi if you spot us!
Kensington Flea is back at Kensington Market all weekend long - independent makers, handcrafted goods, and rotating vendors tucked into a laneway just off Augusta. One of the best free Saturday and Sunday wanders in the city.
Sunday, May 17
Charlton Supper Club's first-ever event blends a cozy night of food and conversation with a cause - every ticket supports iPartner India, a Canadian charity educating underprivileged kids. Saturday May 17 at Mayil Cafe.
RECESS is back for a free community hangout — kickball, soccer, spikeball, and whatever else the group feels like - bring snacks, blankets, instruments, or just yourself. All ages, all welcome.
