Toronto is starting to thaw.
And you can feel it everywhere - longer days, fuller patios, and neighbourhood streets suddenly buzzing again. The seeds of social life are everywhere… they just need people to show up.
Case in point: last weekend’s Geary Art Crawl. Seeing that many people out wandering galleries, grabbing drinks, and just enjoying the city felt borderline spiritual 😂
And while we’ll always ride for Toronto in the winter, nothing quite compares to this city waking up in the spring.
So with that said - here’s the scope on Toronto this weekend.
Toronto at a Glance
Mar 13 - 15
🚦 Downtown traffic: Expect heavier congestion around Scotiabank Arena Friday night and Sunday afternoon as a result of two Raptors home games.
⚽ Exhibition Place crowds: Toronto FC are at home this Saturday at BMO Field, which usually means busy GO trains and heavier traffic around Liberty Village before and after the 1pm match time.
🚧 Major road closure: The stretch where College St becomes Carlton St (Bay → Yonge → Church) is still closed to vehicle and cyclist traffic for the next month due to construction. Plan alternate routes if you’re travelling east-west through the core. Click here for details.
🌤️ Weather: Temperatures continue trending milder for March - a good weekend for exploring neighbourhood markets, gallery crawls, and outdoor wandering.
➡️ Pro Tip: If you’re trying to enjoy a patio this weekend - go early!
