Happy Birthday Toronto 🥳
On Saturday, March 7, the best city in the world turns 192!
To celebrate, Nathan Phillips Square is hosting a full-day festival featuring a DJ skate party, fireworks, and more than 150 local vendors serving up handcrafted goods, food, and drinks from across the city.
There’ll also be plenty happening throughout the day - including Toronto trivia (with prizes like Toronto Zoo tickets), a dance challenge, photo contests, and other festivities as part of the Celebrate Toronto event (click here to learn more!)
And if that wasn’t enough - it’s basically Spring this weekend!
When the sun shows up in Toronto, everything changes. The city wakes up, energy shifts, and suddenly every pocket of the city is romanticized.
If you’re planning to get out, here’s the scope on Toronto this weekend.
Toronto at a Glance

🚦 Downtown traffic: Expect heavier congestion around Scotiabank Arena all weekend - with a concert Friday, Leafs game Saturday, and Raptors game Sunday drawing large evening crowds.
🚧 Major road closure: The stretch where College St becomes Carlton St (Bay → Yonge → Church) is closed to vehicle and cyclist traffic for the next month due to construction. Plan alternate routes if you’re travelling east-west through the core. Click here for details.
🌦️ Fri-Sat: Mild for winter with some light rain - still great weather to be out exploring.
🌤️ Sunday: Sunshine and early spring vibes expected across the city 😎
